REVIEW

What struck me about this series is the fact that it reminded me so much of kung fu… kung fu the series the 80s series… It felt like a complete knockoff. Now don’t get me wrong, I loved kung fu the series… In fact this was the kind of kung fu the series that I could fall in love with. The fights weren’t great but if you are watching something like this you aren’t watching for the fights… you want to see how our hero progresses. The pacing isn’t great but you get a sense for Danny Rand and the villains he faces… Personally, I loved the villains. They were evil but in such a way as to be compelling. Not over the top, but adequate to the task. They felt as if they had learned evil over time… where as the iron fist felt young and inexperienced… I think this was what they were going for and it worked flawlessly… I binged on the series for two days… the plot twists genuinely caught me by surprise… but then again… I am not that familiar with this character. Even so… its worth a watch… its a good show to wrap yourself around… Its marvel so you can’t go wrong…
