ROGUE ONE REVIEW

ROGUE ONE REVIEW

Everybody dies… yes everybody dies. This is a one of… a place holder… a filler movie of sorts and yes everybody dies. That fact in itself traumatized my little star wars heart. Not a single member of rogue one came out alive and this was marketed for kiddies…

Ok… look… this is a deeper darker star wars. The empire is dirty and the rebels don’t shy away from getting their hands dirty. Death is around every corner and friend or foe alike will dish it out.

If you have never ever watched star wars and want the best introduction as an adult to the universe then this is it. It is the most palatable of all the series. It presents the force as what it is a religion. The sith as what they are… some creepy powerful dudes and the people as what they are sheep. Yes this is continues the feminization of star wars and I for one applaud the effort. For some inexplicable reason it works… Its not that I hated star wars before this began but honestly why would you watch it. Seriously… it just didn’t flow… and if it did… it felt forced…

This and the one before it… well…

1. The chicks are easier on the eyes
2. The stories well they are truly fantasies
3. The humor works
4. The fighting is a whole lot more intense
5. Its not afraid to try new things
6. Its not a documentary… its an actual movie..
7. Its rewatchable… yep… rewatchable…
8. Its enjoyable… yep… enjoyable and not just for nerds… own it baby… own it…

Now if you are a diehard star wars fan… keep an open mind…
If you have kiddies… I would think twice before taking them…
If you are a war movie fan with a love of space battles… candy baby…
If you yearn for more realism in the star wars universe then this is gold…
Its amazing how much the softening of the gender roles has made the star wars franchise a greater treat to watch…

Truly it has… my recommendation… as much as it pains me… go watch it… its a sign of things to come… and scary as that may be… I welcome it…
