Suicide Squad is a 2016 American superhero film based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name. The third installment in the DC Extended Universe, the film is written and directed by David Ayer, and stars an ensemble cast.

In the aftermath of Superman’s death, intelligence operative Amanda Waller assembles a team of dangerous criminals—the deranged Harley Quinn; elite hit man Deadshot; pyrokinetic ex-gangster El Diablo; opportunistic thief Captain Boomerang; monstrous cannibal Killer Croc; and specialized mercenary Slipknot—at Belle Reve Penitentiary and places them under command of Colonel Rick Flag, to be used as disposable assets in high-risk missions for the United States government. Each member has a small bomb implanted in their neck, designed to detonate should any member rebel or try to escape.

Suicide squad is the movie that dc should have led with… Not Batman vs Superman…. Suicide squad is the right dose of fun vs action… it heralds back to the fun world war 2 movies of yester year. From the beginning to the end, I loved it. They may not have gotten the costumes right but they got the spirit of the characters dead on… I could safely escape into this film and watch without a care in the world. Grant you the new joker gets some taking used to… but with comic to film adaptation… the interpretation needs room to breathe…

What I really enjoyed most was the fact that their was a major story and a minor story… The major one was suicide squad’s birth and the minor one was the joker and harley quinn rommance… Don’t get me wrong… Its not high art but its not attempting to be that… Its a film for the fans and some would say by a fan… or atleast fan informed…

Would I recommend this to my friends… hell yeah… would I rewatch it… hell yeah… would I rewatch it over batman vs superman and man of steel… hell yeah… would I rewatch it over deadpool… nothing is that good…
