Jason Bourne is a 2016 American spy action thriller film directed by Paul Greengrass and co-written by Greengrass and the film’s editor, Christopher Rouse. It is the fifth installment of the Bourne film series and the direct sequel to The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). Matt Damon reprises his role as the main character, former CIA assassin and psychogenic amnesiac Jason Bourne.

Twelve years after exposing Operation Blackbriar and jumping into the East River, Jason Bourne has finally recovered from his amnesia, isolating himself from the world and staying alive through means of illegal fighting. In Reykjavík, Nicky Parsons has been collaborating with privacy advicate Christian Dassault, and hacks into the CIA’s mainframe server in order to expose the CIA’s wrongdoing. In the process, Parsons finds documents that concern Jason Bourne’s identity, and she decides to travel to Greece to find and inform him. This, however, alerts Cyber Ops Division Head Heather Lee and CIA Director Robert Dewey and it begis from there…


Bourne is back…. One half the dark and the other half the smarts… bourne pleases from beginning to end. I truly enjoyed it. From the very first frame to the last… Jason is back… I hated the 3rd film… still haven’t watched it… This one however was such a joy.
