Fantastic Four (stylized as Fant4stic) is a 2015 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the third theatrical Fantastic Four film to be distributed by 20th Century Fox, and a reboot of the Fantastic Four film franchise. In Fantastic Four, the team must learn to harness abilities gained from an alternate universe to save Earth from a friend turned enemy.

Childhood friends Reed Richards (Miles Teller) and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) have worked together on a prototype teleporter since their childhood, eventually attracting the attention of Professor Franklin Storm (Reg E. Cathey), director of the Baxter Foundation, a government-sponsored research institute for young prodigies. Reed is recruited to join them and aid Storm’s children, scientist Sue Storm (Kate Mara) and technician Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), into completing a “Quantum Gate” designed by Storm’s wayward protégé, Victor von Doom (Toby Kebbell), who begrudgingly agrees to help due to his unrequited feelings for Sue.

What should I say about fantastic four, fant4stic four, fantastic 4 (reboot)… Well lets deal with the film… First the film starts off in an interesting place. This fits in nicely, with the whole multiverse thing. An alternate version of the fantastic four. Now that we explained away the black people lets get back to the story.

We see a different angle. What if the fantastic four got their powers by going to a different world… and getting exposed to foreign bacteria and energies… Its a good idea… The only problem with this movie is well it feels like hollywood threw out the comicbook mythology and started writing whatever they thought would work… A very bad idea when it comes to comicbook movies. At best that approach made this a passable B movie… and at worst it destroyed the whole reason some went to see it… Granted this was better than the spiderman reboot… Yes you felt more than a little bit for dr doom. His whole destroying the world thing felt justified…. The fantastic four actually seemed like misguided kids… Yes they were saving the earth but it felt like doom was the good guy… His performance felt more convincing… More authentic… The other actors seemed like they were forcing their performances… and whats with dr storm doing all the monologing… I mean it felt like he was monologing… It did not seem natural… Concerning character development… It felt choppy… Sometimes you could understand why some characters were angry at each other… and at other times they should have been but weren’t… It didn’t feel like a superhero movie but more like a fight between mgmt, upper mgmt and the workers… with some superpowers thrown in…. and the workers ages reduced to appeal to a younger audience… and ofcourse a green peace terrorist thrown in for show…

This movie could have done more with a man of steel approach. Get to the point… and tell what happened in flashbacks… It tried too hard… and took too long for too little payoff..
